Because of this holiday, we are having an extra week for our word given on Tuesday - of the previous post.

Two whole weeks for one word - that should be easy peasy for us all!!! Uncluttered is such fun!

Our Word for This Week

Hi everybody! We have got some interesting photos for last week's word, and I've had no end of problems trying to comment on your blogs - I'm sure it must be me, noeone else seems to be having the same problems! Maybe I'll just leave it and send emails to everyone instead for a while!! Good idea.

So, onwards we go now that I have madw that decision!

The word for this weeks pics is "ice cream".

Word Photo Challenge 2016 - Week 5

Welcome back to week 5 of our challenge.

It was an interesting word for this week, wasn't it?!

So I will start with mine and what I thought of it:

I was drawn to an obvious answer, in the garden of course!  I thought of HEAT loving plants, which we have lots of!

So here we are:-

This is the view down the side of the house, showing some of our HEAT loving plants - the bouganvilleas along the fence, the blue plumbago up in the corner, an Allamanda and to the right can be seen our Oak Leaf  Frangipani with the white flowers. 

I have just realized, while looking at these pictures, that the whole side passage needs a good cutting back! Everything is growing wild - must have something to do with the HEAT and not a lot of rain!

Another Shawl

I thought you might like to see the next shawl I have crocheted for this years' birthdays.

I've always wondered how long it would take to crochet a "V" stitch shawl or wrap, so I decided to try one.

It's really a scarfie thing or shawlette, for want of a better word, because I got bored to tears with doing it and had to stop. One "V " stitch shawl done and dusted!

Here we are, artfully arranged on the seat outdoors. I will say that the stitch looks pretty.

Again, artfully arranged but I will have to wash that seat cover!! (oops hehehe)

I do like the colours I have used, they look pretty together, do you agree?

So that's it for now, back to the crochet hook!

This Week's Word
