I Really Did Try

to get some pictures of the lorikeets as they played around in our bottlebrush tree.

Each afternoon they have been stopping by on their way to some big roosting trees, about 130 metres behind our garden.  NOTE: I said "Have been"!!

Of course, this afternoon I was waiting for them, with the trusty camera at the ready, Tommy by my side. Of course, none of them came!

Tommy got bored:

So he had a snooze.

I took a picture of our bottle brush:

You can see how dark it is getting, can't you?

The lorikeets were all screeching up in the trees behind us, so I took some long distance pictures:

Well, they're better than nothing aren't they?  Don't forget that you can click on the pictures and get a closer look at them

Camera Course

Today Alan & I did a beginners course with the DSLR camera.

We went down to the Gold Coast to do it , and I'll put a few of my pics here to show how I went.  I was quite proud of myself:

The lorikeets and magpies were very friendly, I was lucky to get so many good shots of them, every time I aimed the camera they would bob their heads!  Had to just keep shooting and hope I caught a good one!

Well now I know what I need to know hopefully I will improve with my photoes....
