Embroidery

I have b
een concentrating this past week on the wedding blocks, and doing a little of this in                           those moments when I don't want to look at all that white!

This is a wall hanging i am doing, from Leanne's House.  I actually bought it years and years ago, in fact the last time that I attended the Brisbane Craft and Quilt Show which I think was at least four years ago!

It doesn't take long to do each individual piece, and it will be lovely and colourful when it is finished.

This is how it is supposed to look:-

Sorry the picture is a little bit blurred, must be the plastic over it.

Anyhow, I'm off to watch the footy now, see you on Sunday when we show off our "fly" photographs!!

Take care.

Embroidery

I only have 2 embroideries to show tonight! I'll have to get on with it!

I love this one, it's taken me three nights to complete. I only work for an hour or two. It's off the hoop now and being washed to remove the pencil marks - I always change my mind right in the middle of things!!

Now this one is a bit disappointing, i chose the exact wrong fabric here, so it can't be read properly.  Never mind it's cute anyhow!

So that's it , apart from the wedding blocks.  See you on Saturday for pictures (that's if I can find a "fun"  quickly!!

Embroidery

Hi everyone, glad you stopped by to look at this post!

I have been embroidering my little heart out while sitting in the evenings with the television droning in the background.  I am really enjoying getting back into stitching - I love so many of the new embroidery designs available, though I am also going to work on some vintage finds from the web, that will be fun!

So, first things first:-

Does anyone like Breaking Bad? I love it, so of course this is number 1 - still to be hung in my sewing room.

Number 2 is this gorgeous young lady - copied from pinterest (isn't it a wonderful world?).  I love her, and she is already hanging on the pinboard in the sewing room!

These two young ladies are number 3 for the week - hot off the hoop!

I am having so much fun doing these embroideries, it is great to find something that I can see to do in the evening now.  The old eyes are not going so well i'm afraid.

So now, I'll be embroidering the wedding quilt blocks  - so I will show you the difference in them when I finish!

Tomorrow, we are invited to a birthday bbq, so will take some shots to show. Hopefully my grandchildren will be there!

Will be back tomorrow evening for show n tell!  See you then...

Embroidery For Fun

Yesterday I sat and stitched this little fairy sitting on a toadstool - it's a Sublime Stitching pattern and I fell in love with her :

She hasn't been washed and ironed yet, don't ask me what I'm going to do with her, maybe stick her on the wall of the sewing room so I can look at her.....

A Bit of Hand Embroidery

I've been doing a little spot of hand embroidery as well, though it's so bad I'll only show you 1 thing:

This poor little mouse won't fit into any frame, so I have to buy one for him!  I'm not real good with words so I need to practise a lot more.  I don't seem to take any notice of what's drawn on the fabric, and I go off into my own little world.  Well at least I know that I can't get much worse than this!

Sewing Morning

Well being Thursday, we met together for our sewing morning.  Or at least 2 of us were there - the good ones.  I did get lots done, and Anne helped me with squaring up blocks, which puts me ahead of the game at the moment.  Here's what I did

I have these magic red climbing daisies on this tree, and some climbing grape hyacinths on the other!  Haven't finished the second tree yet, it needs some branches and leaves to break up the purple, and then some more bushes and flowers in the garden, and we're ready to go!
