Look What I Did

I did this today when I got home from Thursday Sewing Group.

I'm not real happy with it, my circle is slightly out of whack, but I never said I was perfect!!

It's the Craftsy BOM for July - I've got another one to do but I think it can wait.

I stitched it with that nylon filament thread - boy that is awful stuff to sew with! You can't see it!! 

I guess that's what it's for!

I've almost finished a special quilt that I will show you soon.....

A Winter’s Day

It has been a really horrid winter’s day here today.  Freezing cold wind that we have had for the past few days, and it is almost impossible to warm up, even when the sun is shining.
It is 20 degrees celsius in the house as I write, but a good 5 degrees cooler when you step outside. Not nice.

I have downloaded the July blocks for the Craftsy BOM, so I may get on with them tomorrow.

When the weather gets cold like this, I have to knit or crochet, it keeps the blood from freezing in my veins, so hop on over to the knitting and crochet page and take a look at what I have been doing.

I have finished the first of the Craftsy BOM for March, it is really good.

Both the blocks for this month are foundation pieced, and this one is my favourite - it is easy and it looks great when it is finished:

Isn't it gorgeous? I would love to make a scrap quilt with this pattern.  There is another block to be done and I'll post a picture when I complete it...

Little bit crooked! Never mind - I'm not real happy with my fabric choices in this one - it's a bit wishy-washy after the blue of the first one I think.  Do you agree?

A Little Bit of Sewing

I have started on the quilt for our grand daughter's birthday in March - I decided that I want to get it finished in plenty of time so that I am not rushing madly at the end.  Here's how it is looking so far:

It is a Plus Quilt and I think it's going well.  Another view:
